Wild Land Fire - Tennant Fire

The District provided specialized personnel to assist the USFS at the Tennant Fire.  The fire was on the Goosenest District south of the town of McDoel. Total acreage, as of July 24: 3225 acres.  As NorCal Team 2 took command of the fire on the afternoon of Monday, July 20, 2009. Our personnel were detailed to supervise two hotshot crews, a Cal Fire engine strike team and a two of dozers. There were two Type 1 helicopters on the fire, and we air tankers making drops. The structures in the pictures are part of a rather large ranch complex at a place named Jerome. The head of the fire is to the left in the pictures.
